Read on Your Own. Or Read Together.
This guide is for anyone who has ever found themselves reconsidering the life they imagined, navigating an unexpected season, or trying to make sense of the experiences that shape who we become.
Use it as a personal reflection companion while reading Unexpectedly Perfect, or bring it to a book club, women's group, church gathering, or conversation with friends.
You don't need to have the same experiences as I do to find something meaningful in these pages. Sometimes another person's story helps us better understand our own.
The Story Behind the Guide
Unexpectedly Perfect is my memoir about receiving a prenatal Down syndrome diagnosis while also learning that my mother had terminal cancer. It's a story about the life we plan, the life we're given, and the complicated, beautiful work of learning to love the difference.
I wrote it in the hope that others might feel a little less alone in their own unexpected stories.
Your Story Is Worth Exploring.
